Ben Hoffman calls his new partnership with Cervélo “a dream come true.” Given the Ironman champion’s impressive palmeres, winning personality and inspiring dedication to the sport of triathlon, the feeling is mutual.

With 13 Ironman and Ironman 70.3 victories to his credit, along with second- and fourth-place finishes at the 2014 and 2016 Ironman World Championship, the 35-year-old Coloradan is one of the most accomplished long-distance triathletes on the pro circuit. Now, with a Cervélo P5X at his disposal, the athlete nicknamed “Hoff” is raring to race on what he calls “the finest equipment available in the triathlon and cycling space.”

“It has long been a dream of mine to ride for this extraordinarily inventive and accomplished company,” Ben says. “With access to a wide range of bikes for various courses and conditions, I know I will have every advantage, and the support of an incredible team of passionate people."

Likewise, the Cervélo family is excited to welcome Ben and his wife, Kelsey. “Ben and Kelsey embody a community that has always inspired us to push the boundaries of efficiency and performance,” says Lesley Loughlin, Cervélo’s Marketing Manager, Triathlon. “At the same time, they know how to encourage others, and how to have fun on and around the course. We’re looking forward to having them push our boundaries in those areas, too!”

The new partnership represents a homecoming of sorts for Ben, who started his pro career on a P3 in 2007. “To me, Cervélo represents the ideal balance of art and science, innovation and community. They are a passionate company focused on performance and keeping a fulfilling, family feel.”

This season, Ben says he is focused on “performing on the Big Island in October. Getting it right on that day motivates me all the other days.”
