Van Marianne Vos die meteen in het debuutjaar van de R5-CX de regenboogtrui veroverde, tot Wout van Aert die de kerstperiode domineerde en Fem van Empel die drie wereldtitels op rij pakte tussen 2023 en 2025: de R5-CX leverde per wedstrijd meer podiums en zeges op dan welke fiets we ooit hebben gebouwd. Het is het ultieme ideaal van een veldritfiets – simpel, efficiënt en ongekend snel. Er is gigantisch veel modderspeling, een zadelpen die bij een valpartij niet verdraait en strakke interne bekabeling die de elementen buitensluit.
HET ULTIEME CX-FRAME
De D-vormige zadelpen (standaard met dubbele klem) biedt niet alleen extra comfort, maar was een specifiek verzoek van Wout en Marianne om te voorkomen dat het zadel verdraait bij een valpartij. Alle kabels lopen intern en het frame is uitsluitend geschikt voor elektronische schakelgroepen om vuil en water buiten te houden.

R5-CX uses the same D-shaped seatpost as the R5 frame, which was a specific request from World Champions, Marianne Vos and Wout van Aert. It adds a bit of compliance, but also keeps the saddle from twisting in the event of a crash.
The clearance in the R5-CX frame is similar to that of our Áspero gravel bikes, but since cyclocross races mandate a 33mm tire, even the stickiest of mud should clear the frame to help keep you rolling.
