Team Dimension Data
Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka is a World Tour men's road cycling team based in South Africa. The team has a uniquely strong identity and humanitarian calling. "Qhubeka" (a Xhosa word meaning "advance") is a foundation that gives bicycles to people in underprivileged communities in Africa to help improve their access to schools, medical care, and jobs.
Cervélo has been Team Dimension Data's bike partner since 2014. With riders such as Mark Cavendish and Edvald Boasson Hagen in its line up, the team has powered to victory in numerous races, including several stages of the Tour de France.
Their success is not limited to just the races though. The team has also achieved its goal of putting 5,000 children on bicycles each year. The riders take pride in riding for a greater purpose than just their own personal successes. Mark Cavendish has said: "For me personally, one of the biggest incentives is riding for a greater cause in the Qhubeka charity."
The bike of choice for most of the Dimension Data Team (including Cavendish) is the S5, a proven leader of aero road segment. The team also rides the R5, an ultra light and stiff all round road bike and the P5, a time trial bike boasting industry-leading aerodynamics.
