With Cervélo becoming a title sponsor of Cervélo-Bigla Pro Cycling for the 2016 season, the UCI Women's team is building on recent successes on R, S and P Series bikes.

The Switzerland-based squad has already turned plenty of heads this year. Lotta Lepistö’s prologue victory at Spain’s Euskal Emakumeen Bira marked the team’s first win of the season. The Finnish rider followed up on this with a Stage 1 win at Luxembourg's Festival Elsy Jacobs, where Carmen Small won the overall mountains classification. A sweep of the podium at Switzerland’s Berner Rundfahrt race soon followed, as did victory at the nearby SwissEver GP Cham-Hagendorn. Then came the capper (so far): Lepistö won Stage 5 of the Aviva Women’s Tour of Britain, and Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio finished second in the GC.

Off the race course, co-title sponsor Bigla recently extended its sponsorship of the team until the end of 2018.

The timing of the strengthened Cervélo partnership couldn’t be better: The UCI’s launch of a Women's WorldTour to replace the 10-day Road World Cup means 35 days of pro women’s racing in 2016. And more races mean more opportunities for Cervélo-Bigla Pro Cycling to rise to the challenge!
