Behind the scenes with team breeze
Part 1 - British Cycling’s Team Breeze
Who are Team Breeze?
In 2016, British Cycling launched an all-female trade team, Team Breeze, supported by the HSBC UK Breeze programme. This trade team is made up of senior academy riders from the Great Britain Cycling Team to offer them the opportunity to race in some of Europe’s biggest competition, both on the road and the track. Team Breeze enables academy riders on the Great Britain Cycling Team programme to maximize their potential and progress in the sport.
What’s HSBC UK Breeze?
Inspiring women of all abilities to cycle for fun and fitness, HSBC UK Breeze is the biggest programme in the UK designed to encourage more women to ride their bikes. June marks the programme's seventh birthday and in those seven years, it has proved to be a huge success, recently achieving the milestone of getting 200,000 women cycling with the support of 2,000 trained volunteers who lead rides all over the country.
We will see Team Breeze in action at the HSBC UK | National Road Championships on 1 July and this week we will be publishing a guide telling you everything you need to know about the race. Also, be sure to look out for Team Breeze taking over our Instagram story on the day.
