13 straight at the Kona Bike Count

Friday the 13th proves to be lucky for Cervélo at the Kona Bike Count.

Indeed, Lava Magazine just revealed that Cervélo has more bikes on the Kona Pier than any other brand — coincidentally, for a 13th consecutive year.

The 570 Cervélo bikes on the pier nearly equalled last year’s total while maintaining a large gap over our closest competitors. In fact, Cervélo’s total surpassed that of the next two brands combined. This speaks highly to the brand loyalty shown by our MyCervélo athletes like P5 owner, Owen Martin. “I have rode Cervélo all my triathlon life, firstly with my trusty P3C. As soon as I rode it I was sold on Cervélo. As a company it seemed to me to be at the forefront of technology research trying to find those all-important seconds and minutes.”

Cervélo pros support this record-setting streak, with 10 athletes — up from eight last year — set to toe the start line tomorrow:

Frederik Van Lierde

James Cunnama

Ruedi Wild

David McNamee

Tyler Butterfield

David Dellow

Sarah Piampiano

Susie Cheetham

Rachel Joyce

Jeanne Collonge

“Meeting our MyCervélo athletes, listening to their stories, and being a small part in their journey is what drives us to raise the bar in everything we do,” says Lesley Loughlin, Cervélo’s Marketing Manager, Triathlon. “We don’t take their trust in our brand lightly, we consider them part of the Cervélo family and are honored they have chosen us to be the number one brand on the pier for the 13th straight year.”
