Race schedule Ted King

While the rest of the European continent vies for national titles just prior to the Tour de France, the USA championships take place in mid-September. As the sole American on the Cervélo TestTeam, Ted King will head to Greenville, SC in hot pursuit of a win in the September 19^th road race.

Prior to that, King will return to his racing roots with the Green Mountain Stage Race. Beginning this Friday, the Labor Day weekend four-day event will serve as excellent final race preparation for the American national championships two weeks later. "The GMSR was the first stage race I ever competed it, so I'm really looking forward to coming back. I also went to school in this area, so we're competing on the roads where I really started to cut my teeth in the sport of cycling," says King. "I really want to thank the TestTeam partners for their enormous help in making this race a possibility for me. PowerTap, Castelli, Catlike, and Speedplay in particular really stepped forward to support me an ocean away from the standard race coordination."

Because of the UCI stipulation prohibiting ProTour and ProContinental cyclists from competing in their regular team kit in national level events, King will compete at the GMSR in a custom kit from Castelli. "The iamtedking kit is something of a dream come true" remarked King. "With a portion of the proceeds going to the Krempels Center, we currently have shirts and stickers benefiting this incredible charity. There's been a big push recently for the jerseys to be for sale as well, so I'm excited to make that a reality too. It feels great to be at the point where I'm able to give back."
