Wild top 5 at Omloop Door Middag-Humsterland in Netherlands

Cervélo TestTeam's Kirsten Wild (NED) delivered a fourth place finish today at Omloop Door Middag-Humsterland in the Netherlands. Teammate Iris Slappendel (NED) finished in sixth. The 133 km one day race was won by Vera Koedooder (Ned - Lotto-Belisol Ladiesteam). Monique van de Ree (Ned Leontien.nl) took second and Liesbeth De Vocht (Bel) Nederlands Bloeit placed third.

Kirsten Wild also won the top place in this competition, a series of one-day races in the Netherlands. Wild was already sure of her victory after her Holland Hills Classic victory. Iris Slappendel finished second. With here victory today Vera Koedooder moved into third place. Cervélo TestTeam won the team classification.

"Today's race saw a breakaway of nine riders heading into the final. Kirsten was the only one from our team involved and the break was taken back just before the final started. Iris attacked in the final but they took her back and than when Vera Koedooder attacked in the last 2 km Iris was just not able to catch her. Kirsten, also in the group behind started too late with her sprint and Koedooder won the stage solo."
