Wild top 3 at stage 1 Holland Ladies Tour

Kirsten Wild (NED) delivered a third place finish in the bunch sprint today that ended stage one at the Holland Ladies Tour. The 112.2 km stage from Nuenen to Gerwen was won Ina Yoko Teutenberg (GER-HTC - Columbia Women). Marianne Vos (NED-Nederland Bloeit) finished in second.

“Today’s first stage was quite a boring race and without any wind. So our focus turned to the big bunch sprint we knew awaited us at the finish line,” said Egon van Kessel, Sports Director. “There was break of two riders today, but it was caught and brought back 30 km before the finish. After that the sprinters lead out the all the way to the final preparing for the sprint. Ina Yoko Teutenberg won, second Marianne Vos and Kirsten Wild finished in third.”
