TEAMTBB's Caroline Steffen wins triathlon De Gerardmer

Gerardmer, France, September 5th, 2010 - teamTBB represented in three races this weekend spread over three countries. The final race I have the pleasure to report on is the half iron distance of the grueling triathlon de Gerardmer in France. I say grueling because the bike course on this half iron distance has very some severe climbs.

Grueling it may be, but for Caroline Steffen (SUI) she once again demonstrated pure class to lead from start to finish. Steffen has been on quite a winning streak this year, getting faster and stronger with each race. As the World Championships in Kona Hawaii draws closer we are very excited to see what will happen!

Steffen came out of the swim in 25:36, had a bike split of 2:55:46 and a run of 1:26:56 to cross the line for the WIN in 4:52:01.

Teammate Tamsin Lewis (GBR) was also on the start and finished in a solid 5th place in a time of 5:17:28. She had a swim of 28:09, bike of 3:09:30 and run of 1:35:49.
