TeamTBB’s Caroline Steffen Wins IM 70.3 Switzerland

Racing in her homeland for the first time in 2010, Caroline Steffen (SUI) added to her impressive 2010 resume with a 3rd 70.3 WIN. Coming off a training block in Australia, Steffen arrived in her homeland to a warm welcome and won over the hearts of her native Swiss by turning in a stellar performance that saw her lead from start to finish.

The first female out of the water in 25:59, Steffen held a rock steady bike split to take her first into T2 with fellow countrywomen Nicole Hofer (SUI) less than a minute behind.

Steffen fired up the running legs that have already seen her deliver two previous victories in Geelong and Singapore 70.3s this year. Her victory was never in doubt as Steffen edged away from compatriots Nicole Hofer and Karin Thurig with the fastest run split of the day (1:26:15). Steffen crossed in 4:19:29, almost 6 minutes ahead of 2nd place.
