Rollin 2nd in GC final in stellar performance at Tour du Poitou-Charentes

August 27, 2010 - Filed under: TestTeam
Dominique Rollin completed the Tour du Poitou-Charentes today with an exceptional 2nd place finish in the GC, a head shaking two hundredths of a second behind tour winner Jimmy Engoulvent (FRA-Saur-Sojasun. Cervélo teammate Ignatas Konovalovas (LTU) also finished in the GC top 10 in ninth position. Jimmy Casper (FRA-Saur-Sojasun) won the final stage, Cédric Pineau (FRA-Roubaix Lille Metropole) placed second and Thibaut Pinot (FRA- FDJ) came in third.

"The team was really strong today and I was very impressed," said Marcello Albasini, Sports Director. "We where in front for the entire stage and Jeremy Hunt was a great team captain. Overall we won the team classification, placed second and ninth in the GC, and had one other rider in the final top 20, not a bad result."

Extremely impressive racing Dominique!

Just two hundredths of a second behind the GC victory can't possibly feel good..
