You may expect a post today about the ridiculous stage from yesterday, but honestly I’m lost for words.
Most of you already know my opinion on vehicles in the race and I think it would be best to just stand by the words written with a clear mind back in May rather than just jumpng on the latest fad. Here are the links to that series:

Anyway, let me just finish by saying how proud I am of Thor’s accomplishments in the first week. Simply amazing work by him to keep the jersey as long as he did. Too bad he lost it through such a crazy stage but that actually only highlights his character.
On the theme of
magnanimity from last week
, Thor is the only rider I can think of who has now twice waited for fallen riders and thereby given up a jersey. Remember that last year the waiting on stage 2 cost him 30 very dear points for the green jersey. Respect.

Team Garmin-Cervelo is the best team. Thor showed himself magnificently, and is a great example of a good human being. Any cyclist's with great talent, can keep a yellow jersey for awhile, but it takes a specially gifted cyclist to love your brother as you love yourself.
So we honor you Team Garmin-Cervelo. It's teams like you that have people come back to true cycling, when drug-scandals have gone the way of the doo-doo.
Also, nice going on her super-S5-bike. I will be getting mine in January!

I agree with Steve Z. The self sacrifice and team work seem unlikely given that there are so many truely great riders on the team. I think that in the early races this season having so many contenders may have affected morale. But ever since Johann's win it has been awesome. That's how it looks from the outside, to me. Congratulations to you all. Ride safe.

Team Garmin Cervelo earns a lot of respect from cyclists around the world because they truely act as a team. You have seen that every day in the tour. They work together and accomplish greatness. That is why they are so many peoples favorite team (all of them). Congrats on your accomplishments, you guys kick ass!!
