Erika Csomor claims 7th victory at IM Powerman Zofingen

Zofingen, Switzerland September 5th, 2010 - For six years teamTBB athlete Erika Csomor (HUN) has dominated the Powerman Long Distance World Championship that encompasses a challenging 10k run / 150k bike / 30k run. Winning the title back to back for six years in a row is an extraordinary feat, especially in a sport where so many ‘break through' talents keep emerging.

When competitors see her name on the start list I can only imagine the fear it strikes into their hearts. Is there any way to break Csomor's 6-year winning streak is a question they must frequently battle with.

This weekend saw Csomor return to the course that she now fondly calls home. Targeting her 7th win the Hungarian did not disappoint. And she blew the field away with an outstanding win by 12minutes.

It was not all plain sailing. Long distance racing rarely is. Csomor was behind on the final 30km run and chasing. Hanging tough and seeing after a fall that the leader was struggling, Csomor seized the race and the day to cross the line and claim her 7th victory in a time of 7:20:52.
