Cervélo Cycles Inc. and Vroomen White Design win Zurich’s Canadian Manufacturer of the Year Award

Leading-edge technology and innovative leadership has earned Toronto's Vroomen.White.Design the title of Canadian Manufacturer of the Year.

The Ontario-based company is a global leader in designing, engineering and manufacturing carbon fibre bicycle frames - the most aerodynamic bikes in the industry. Whether it is the Tour de France, the Ironman Championship at Kona or simply people who enjoy their weekend ride, the Cervélo cycle has set the benchmark of innovation in the industry.

And leading the pack is what its customers have come to expect and why Vroomen.White.Design was honoured with Zurich's Manufacturer of the Year award at Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters' annual Canadian Innovation Awards February 2, at the Chateau Laurier Hotel in Ottawa.

"The winners of the Canadian Innovation Awards are models of excellence for others to emulate," says Jeff Brownlee, CME's VP public affairs. "We live in a competitive world, but nothing gives Canadians a greater sense of pride when we take on the world and win."

Minister of Industry Tony Clement presented the six awards at CME's Innovation Awards luncheon, an element of Canada's leading trade and industry association's Roadmap to Recovery Summit.

Vroomen.White.Design, Toronto, ON - Zurich's Canadian Innovation Award for Manufacturer of the Year

Iceculture Inc., Hensall, ON - EDC's Canadian Innovation Award for Global Business of the Year

Abbyshot Clothiers Ltd., Mount Pearl, NL - BDC's Canadian Innovation Award SME Innovator of the Year

Christie Digital Systems Canada, Inc., Kitchener, ON- NRC/IRAP's Canadian Innovation Award for New Technology

Megleen Inc. a.k.a. Tim Hortons, Scarborough, ON - Business Takes Action's Canadian Innovation Award for Innovator of the Year

Standard Aero Limited, Winnipeg, MB - CAHRD's Canadian Innovation Award for Aboriginal Inclusion

Any ideas on the color scheme of the 2012 P2 Tri bikes? My husband is holding out because he REALLY wanted the 2010 model, but can't find a 54 in that model. He's hoping if he waits, the 2012 model will go back to the white/red color? Will he be in luck? When will we know? Excitedly waiting......Laura
