Team Garmin-Barracuda
We started the Cervélo TestTeam because we realized one thing about our presence in pro cycling: Winning doesn’t make better bikes – rider feedback does. Not that we had any complaints about winning – we said goodbye to Team CSC after leading the team ranking, winning the Tour, the Giro, Paris-Roubaix and Liege-Bastogne-Liege, to name but a few.
But as the victories increased, chances to use riders for product testing decreased. At Cervélo TestTeam we flipped this around, and it is safe to say that we succeeded in that part – just ask Rotor, Castelli, 3T and all the other partners. And with 125 victories including 10 Grand Tour stages, the Tour de l’Aude, a green jersey, the Giro donne and two World Championships, the winning didn’t exactly suffer. When it became clear that we could not continue to support a pro team on our own, we decided to either join up with a pro team that shared our values in ethics, innovation & testing or to sit out the dance for a while.
Garmin proved a perfect match. We’re completely aligned with their hunger for new developments (they design their own nutrition and skin suits) and their anti-doping stance.
So, join us and follow Team Garmin-Barracuda during the 2012 season:
Cervélo S5
Cervélo R5ca
Cervélo P4
The NEW S5 has extended innovations in aerodynamic triathlon and road bikes into the ultimate road bike. A true road bike with lateral and torsional stiffness, while still being lightweight and aerodynamic.
The R5ca is what happens when you put all of that knowledge in a frame and let the engineers build it inside the research facility.
While outlandish claims fly in the world of "superbikes", the quiet redesign of the P4 keeps it firmly atop the ranks for the ultimate in TT/Tri bike design.
