Tyler Farrar - team Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda

Tyler Farrar is a 28-year-old American member of Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda. 2009 proved to be a break-through season for Farrar, notching major field sprint wins in major European races like Tirreno-Adriatico, the Tour of Benelux and the Vattenfall Cyclassics. His 2009 season culminated with a first sprint win in a Grand Tour in stage 11 at the Vuelta a España. Farrar is quickly becoming the known as the ‘fastest American racer’ and is backing it up. In 2010 Farrar won two sprint stages of the Giro d’Italia and two sprint stages of the Vuelta a España, along with one-day and stage race wins. In 2011 he took his first Tour de France stage win.
