Mathias Hecht is a 32-year-old Swiss triathlete who has competed professionally since 2006. Known on the circuit as Pikey, he lost count a while ago of the number of races he’s been in. Hecht had appeared on the podium quite often over the last few years, but an Ironman title had eluded him until he won the 2011 Ironman St. George. He says his personal career highlight the 2008 Ironman Hawaii World Championship, and his favorite bike is the Cervelo P5.
