Diana Riesler is a 28-year-old German triathlete who has been a pro since 2009. She loves her Cervelo P3 and her motto is “Go straight!” Riesler joined teamTBB in February 2011, and in her first blog post for the team, she revealed what she likes to do for fun away from the triathlon circuit. “What is the perfect thing to forget the daily grind and to do something different to triathlon?” she asks. For Riesler, it’s trekking 80km in two days through snow in -3°C temperatures with her husband and dog Laika, armed with nothing more than a backpack, a sleeping bag, a pot and a boiler. “Yeah, that’s the way I get my mind free and all the senses come back for your body while to move it in interplay with nature,” she says. “You feel alive!” We’ll have more from Riesler when we catch her!
